6 Essential Habits To Start Your Perfect Day

Your morning sets the tone of how you feel, act, and think during the rest of your day. Here are 6 essential habits that you must add to your morning routine to ensure you are ready to step into the world in good spirit.

1. Honey and lemon drink

A warm cup of honey-lemon drink can do wonders for our mind and body. Drink it first thing in the morning to derive all the benefits. This healthy, low-calorie drink is full of nutrients, such as potassium, vitamin C, and antioxidants. Because honey-lemon drink helps melt fat, it is widely used in weight loss programs. It also helps relieve constipation and clear the skin of acne. Lemon and honey work together to flush out unwanted, harmful substances and diseases in the urogenital tract.  Here is a website about 11 Effective Benefits Of Honey And Lemon.

2. Morning exercise

I know. I know. You would rather stay in bed for a little longer than do exercise. But, do you know morning exercise is equally important as brushing your teeth?

Unless you skip brushing your teeth, morning exercise must be included in your morning routine. The good news is you don’t need to get up early to exercise. You can exercise and brush your teeth at the same time. Try hamstring stretches, single-leg balance, lunges, or backward bend while brushing your teeth. Be creative and have fun.

3. Eat breakfast

You have heard it many times: breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

But be honest, do you eat breakfast? Ok. It’s time to get used to eating breakfast. You need to give fuel to your body. Hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, nuts, oatmeal, fruits, and granola bar are all quick and easy on-the-go breakfast choices. No more excuses.

4. Killer outfit

Pick out your outfit the night before to reduce morning stress so you can say hello to the world with confidence.

According to Enclothed Cognition Theory, we need to be aware that our clothes influence our thinking as well as how we are perceived. What message are you carrying with you today?

5. One kindness a day

To give is more rewarding than to receive. It is proven giving back to the community boosts your happiness, health, and sense of well-being. The benefits of kindness are invaluable, to both who give and receive. It doesn’t have to be something big. What will you “give” today? Here are some ideas to help you started: write a “thank you” note to a co-worker smile at someone you don’t know place a “happy” sign on your front lawn help your neighbor mow the lawn donate pet food to an animal shelter call your parent/grandparent/sibling/friend just to say “hi”.
Check out the Random Acts of Kindness website. There are many inspiring stories from all over the world and kindness act ideas. Pick one or pick a few. Spread the kindness one day at a time.

6. We are only human

What do you see when you look in the mirror? You are looking at an ordinary human being ready to tackle the world. You are not a superhero. Even a superhero has its own limitations. So be kind to yourself.

Learn to let go of what you cannot control. Our relationship with ourselves determines our relationship with everything else around us. Accepting you are only a human not only remove the unrealistic expectations on yourself but to be forgiven and kind to others.

From today on, look at the mirror before you leave the house and tell yourself you are going to have a good day no matter what.
